Prof’s Mobile Tyres and Services (we, us) is a mobile tyre fitting and roadside tyre service based at 3 Felton Close, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire WD6 4LF. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy and use it in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What information we collect

When you ask for a quote or contact us. If you use a quote form on this website we receive what you type in, for example your postcode, tyre size, phone number and any message or vehicle details. If you call or message us on WhatsApp we see your phone number, your messages and any location or photos you choose to send.

When you use the website. Through Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (Google Site Kit) and Google Ads tags we receive technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site (for example from a Google advert) and whether you called, messaged or sent a form.

We do not ask for payment details on this website. You pay when the job is done.

How and why we use it

• To reply to your request, give you a price and arrange and carry out the job (we need this to take steps before a contract and to carry it out).

• To keep a record of our work, handle complaints and meet legal and accounting duties.

• To understand how the website and our adverts perform, and to improve them (our legitimate interest in running and promoting our business).

• To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services we use to run the business and the website, and only as far as needed:

• our email and hosting providers, which receive and store your quote request and website data;

• Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads and Google Fonts), which receives technical information about your visit and about advert clicks and conversions;

• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there, under its own privacy policy;

• professional advisers, insurers or the authorities where the law requires or allows it.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where that happens they rely on approved safeguards such as the UK’s international data transfer arrangements.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and job records only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, to provide our service and after-sales support, and to meet legal and accounting requirements. Analytics data is kept for the periods set in our Google settings. After that it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable form. You can also withdraw any consent you gave.
